NEC Employees Lose to Give

FORSYTH, Mo.—National Enzyme Co.(NEC) employees started a 26-week weight-loss and “get fit” challenge to benefit Gift of Hope Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, started by NEC employees more than 20 years ago. Each participant will secure sponsors throughout the program who will donate on behalf of his or her weight loss, total decrease in body fat percentage or the number of miles walked during the entire course of the challenge.

“This is an important commitment to your health and community,” said Terese Mansell, vice president of sales and marketing for NEC. “Our goal is to give everyone the tools to make permanent lifestyle changes that will benefit not only themselves, but also benefit the children and families of Taney County by raising money for our Gift of Hope programs like the Backpack Club and Christmas Share.”

“During the challenge, NEC employees will receive helpful information on how to reach their weight-loss and fitness goals by making lifestyle changes, conducting seminar, and other motivating activities to keep the momentum going,” said Meghan Connell, director of Gift of Hope.
