WASHTINGTON—The Natural Products Association (NPA) is holding its 13th annual Natural Products Day on Tuesday, March 23, 2010. Natural Products Day is designed to educate, advocate and celebrate the natural products industry by connecting industry members with representatives in the U.S. Congress. This full day offers an opportunity to meet and mingle with representatives and their staff members during formal meetings and an evening reception. The event also provides a chance to network with industry colleagues.

NPA provides breakfast before lobbying workshops, transportation to Capitol Hill, pre-scheduled meetings with legislators, an evening reception and a return trip to the host hotel. There is no cost to attend Natural Products Day.

During the morning, the Lobbying 101 seminar is held, which is aimed at making first-time lobbyists more comfortable and effective when meeting with legislators. In the Issues Overview seminar, political insiders will coach attendees on strategies for making the most of their visits, as well as thoroughly covering the issues in the industry.

The afternoon will bring scheduled appointments with legislators at Capitol Hill. The NPA will hold the Congressional Champions Awards Reception in the evening where attendees will be able to mingle with fellow activists and members of Congress while enjoying complimentary hors-d’oeuvres and beverages.
