NORWAY, Iowa—Bart Becherer joined Frontier Natural Products Co-op™ as director of sales – private label. He will head up the newly created private label division, aiming to work with natural products retailers to offer store brand organic spices, seasonings and baking flavors. Becherer spent 20 years at Topco LLC, the largest private label cooperative in the United States, and has also held exec positions in packaging, product and sales management in private label broker networks.

OJAI, Calif.—Don Gaidano joined Zhena’s Gypsy Tea as its CFO and chief operating officer. Gaidano worked most recently as CEO of Rachel’s Organics UK, and was the vice president of international/CFO for Horizon Organic Dairy, and vice president of European business development at White Wave Foods.

“There are similarities in the Rachel’s and Zhena’s brands in regards to having women founders and women’s target markets,” Gaidano said. “In specialty tea, where an estimated 88 percent of purchases are made by women, having successfully stewarded the rapid growth of a woman’s brand before gives me great confidence we will be successful with Zhena’s.”
