She graduated with a communications degree from Arizona State University, which isn't surprising because she's quite a talker. She embraces a healthy lifestyle by mastering crazy yoga poses and spending all of her hard earned money on the latest and greatest products from SunFlower Market.

Steve Myers managing editor, has been in the natural products industry since 1997, spreading news and information, and wielding his trusty red pen. Despite a degree in English literature from Arizona State, he is a closet science geek and is attracted to the blips and bleeps behind natural health. "Invincible" in college, Steve later realized pizza and beer does not make a healthy diet, and figured some serious diet change and natural remedy were order--especially liver detox.

Lose Weight; Make $$$

Chances are you know someone who is pledging to lose weight as their 2010 New Year's resolution. Good news, 2010 maybe the easiest year to hold those resolutions.  Now, you can get paid to lose weight.

www.HealthyWage.com has a payout program for weight loss. It is free to join and cash payouts are provided by corporate sponsors and advertisers on the site.

Site visitors can register for a few different programs. The basic program rewards members for dropping and keeping their body mass index (BMI) below 25. The program requires weekly check-ins to update weight, food journal and exercise routines. It also requires a check-in from a physician to verify start weight in January and closing weight in December. If by December 2010, you can drop and maintain your BMI to 25, you will receive a $100 payout. A few other programs involve higher dollar payouts too.

The Web site is designed to help you get the most from your healthy lifestyle experience. It has helpful information on diets, health clubs and local support groups to help members achieve results.

However, it appears the Web site is not for everyone. If you are skinny and just carrying around an extra 3 pounds of holiday weight from eggnog and cheesy appetizers, you are going to need to go about weight loss the old-fashioned way (will power; no cash). It appears members’ BMIs must be above 25 to be eligible before the January 20th deadline. But it's certainly worth exploring for people who are serious about weight loss this year.

Happy New Year!!!
