Expo East Wraps up in Baltimore, Announces Move to Boston

The 23rd annual Natural Products Expo East, held in Baltimore Sept. 26 to 29, drew more than 25,000 attendees to visit almost 1,800 booths, according to show organizer New Hope Natural Media, a division of Penton Media. New Hope also announced it will relocate the event to Boston in 2008; Expo East is scheduled for Oct. 15 to 18 at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. According to the company, the move will provide growth opportunities and more outreach into the northeast region.

In additional news from the show, several companies were recognized as winners of the 2007 New Products Showcase Awards, including: BeeCeuticals Organics Bee-Yond Body Rub(Personal Care/Health & Beauty); FoodShouldTasteGood MultiGrain Tortilla Chips and Manitoba Harvest Hemp Foods & Oils Organic Hempmilk (Food – tie); Nelsons Rescue Remedy Pastilles (Supplement/Herbs); Sweetriot 100% Dark Chocolate Cacao Nibs (Green/Environmentally friendly); Wise-Acre Inc. Frost Teas (Innovation); and Zhena Gypsy Tea (Packaging).

The winners of the 13th annual Socially Responsible Business Awards (SRBA)—Kopali Organics, Steaz Green Tea Soda, and Under the Canopy—were also honored during a breakfast event at Expo East.
