Carlson Laboratories announced a one-two punch in support of heart health. First, the company is supporting the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women Campaign, designed to raise awareness about cardiovascular disease (CVD) in women. The campaign designated Feb. 1, 2008, as National Wear Red Day, and Carlson Labs is providing red aprons to health food store owners and their staff to wear. “By joining the Go Red for Women Campaign, we’re doing our part in helping to raise awareness about the importance of cardiovascular health and encouraging people to maintain a healthy diet, exercise and take their nutritional supplements,” said John Carlson, president, Carlson Labs. “We like to think that Carlson Laboratories has ‘Everything Your Heart Desires’ to promote good cardiovascular health.”
The company is also encouraging retailers to participate in its annual Heart Month End-Cap Contest, designing an end-cap of Carlson Heart Month products to win up to $1,000 in wholesale products.
