Bayer’s ‘Herbal’ Aspirin Now Under Investigation

MORRISTOWN, N.J.—Bayer’s Aspirin with Heart Advantage advertising claims are now under investigation by Federal lawmakers. The investigation follows recent questioning of whether marketing of the combination product, which contains 81 mg of Aspirin mixed with 400 mg of phytosterols, misleads the public and goes against the Food and Drug Administration’s request to not advertise products that combine drugs and dietary supplement ingredients.
