Vitaline CoQ10 Improves Symptoms of MSA

07/17/2008

GREEN BAY, Wis.A recent report given at the Chicago 12th International Congress of Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders found that Vitaline® CoQ10, a nutrient purported to support neurological health, was associated with signs of clinical improvement on several quality of life scales for those with Multiple SystemAtrophy (MSA). Diana Apetauerova, M.D., and colleagues found that administration of 1200 mg daily of Vitaline CoQ10 not only resulted in signs of clinical improvement, but also showed a reduction in physical decline, as measured by the Unified Multiple Systems Atrophy Rating Scale.

Apetauerova stated, "With the positive changes observed in this small study, a larger study is needed to see if some of the trends we observed on some scales are consistent." She added, "It was evident in this pilot study that patients on coenzyme Q10 felt more energy during the day, which improved their quality of life."
