LOS ANGELES–Hyland’s Inc. launched the Get Up & Get Healthy campaign and contest, a grass-roots effort aimed at encouraging families to get involved in their own health this winter. Under this campaign, performing street teams in Philadelphia; Los Angeles; and Miami, FL will be appearing near train stations, parks and areas of heavy foot traffic starting Jan. 27th. The street performers will act sick before “getting healthy,” and putting on a lively performance. The Get Up & Get Healthy street teams will perform on Market Street in Philadelphia, travel from the Pier in Santa Monica to the 3rd Street Promenade in Los Angeles, and walk through the streets of Coconut Grove in Miami.

Audience members who upload a photo or video of the street team onto the Hyland’s Facebook page have a chance to win a grand prize. Facebook fans can vote for their favorite photo or video by either clicking “like” or posting a comment. The photo with the most votes via “likes” and comments will win the grand prize of a $1,000 gift card. The runner-up will receive a Wii and Wii Fit.

Those not in any of these cities can visit the Hyland’s Facebook page, comment on a favorite posted street team photo and be entered to win one of five Hyland’s gift baskets in a random drawing of all entries.

“This cold and flu season, consumers can rest assured that they have access to safe, effective and natural solutions with Hyland’s,” said Mary C. Borneman, Hyland’s official spokesperson. “We’re always looking for new ways to educate consumers on the benefits of homeopathic solutions. What better way to get individuals involved in taking a natural approach to their health than getting into the neighborhoods and engaging with individuals one on one?”

Photos and comments may be posted from Jan. 27 to Feb. 3 after which any additional posts will not be accepted. Hyland’s will announce the winners on Feb. 9, 2010 on Facebook and on its Web site.
