OGDEN, Utah—In response to the devastating earthquake that struck Haiti on Jan. 12, Mineral Resources International Inc. (MRI) is donating 4,200 rip-packs of elete, a pure electrolyte concentrate comprising four essential electrolytes, to aid relief efforts in Haiti. Each rip-pack that elete is donating will make one gallon of electrolyte-fueled hydration.
elete’s donation will be shipped with other medical and aid supplies that is being spearheaded by Stuart Jones from Bethany Cycle & Fitness in Bethany Beach, DE and The Tabernacle Church in Pittsville, MD. Jones will be sending the shipment to his parents who are currently serving as missionaries in Haiti.
“We feel very fortunate to donate elete in such a way that the electrolytes will be disseminated through people who know exactly how to use them. We extend our sincere appreciation to those people in the front-line efforts in Haiti right now,” said Val Anderson, executive vice-president and director of sales and marketing for MRI and elete. “elete acts as a water extender increasing the hydration value of each available gallon of pure, safe drinking water and can help save lives for those suffering from dehydration and electrolyte depletion caused by dysentery.”
