Carlson ‘Goes Red’ by Giving Aprons

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill.—Carlson Laboratories is supporting the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women Campaign by providing red aprons to health food store owners and their staff to wear. Go Red for Women is a campaign to raise awareness regarding cardiovascular disease (CVD) in women.  According to the American Heart Association, heart disease is the leading cause of death for women in the United States.  February 5th, 2010 is National Wear Red Day. Thousands of individuals and companies are raising awareness about heart disease by wearing red on this day.

Carilyn Anderson, sales and marketing executive at Carlson Laboratories, stated, “We are proud to support the American Heart Association’s ‘Go Red for Women’ campaign to help raise awareness about the importance of cardiovascular health. By leading a healthy lifestyle including regularly exercising and getting proper nutrients through food and supplements, we may be able to prevent cardiovascular disease and other related illnesses.”
