SEBASTOPOL, Calif.—Guayakí is now using new packages and formats for its yerba maté tea bags. Guayakí’s new packaging now prominently display an embossed (raised) logo and typeface on the front. Guayakí used two kinds of vegetable-based glosses to give it an eye-catching shimmer effect on some areas of the carton. With a constant focus on sustainability and the environment, the cartons are printed with vegetable inks on 100-percent recycled paper with at least 50-percent post-consumer waste.
Guayakí’s tea bag blends with the new packaging will appear on shelves nationally at natural and organic grocers and retailers beginning this month. Starting with the Greener Green Tea, then the others will fall in line as inventory shifts.
