LOS ANGELES–Jarrow Formulas® Inc. is the title sponsor for the “Take Steps for Crohn’s & Colitis Walk” (CCFA), presented by Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America, Greater Los Angeles/Orange County Chapter. The event, which takes place on Sunday, June 13, 2010 at L.A.’s historic Griffith Park, will include a live band, a Kid’s Zone, information booths and a tow-mile walk throughout the park. The CCFA is an effort to raise money for crucial research and to raise awareness of these painful and often debilitating digestive diseases that afflict millions of people.
After two years, CCFA’s Take Steps Walks have raised more than $13 million for research and patient service programs. “At Jarrow Formulas, we are acutely aware of the silent suffering of many Crohn’s and ulcerative colitis patients,” said Trish Mahon, director of marketing for Jarrow Formula. “We believe dynamic events like ‘Take Steps’ can help increase visibility and raise the profile for worthy causes like this to bring us closer to a cure.”
