ReNew Life Holds Employee Fitness Contest

PALM HARBOR, Fla.–ReNew Life Formulas is conducting a 12-week employee fitness challenge beginning Monday, Jan. 11. The Biggest Transformation Challenge runs through April 4, and will award a total of $1,500 in cash prizes to the top three winners.

“I love to see our employees getting involved and setting the example,” says ReNew Life founder and president Brenda Watson, “And, what better time than the New Year, when everyone’s making resolutions about their health? Last year’s weight-loss challenge was such a success, and we wanted to keep the momentum going and even raise the stakes a little with this new challenge. This time it’s not just about weight loss, but overall fitness and muscle building. Our goal is to show folks that anyone can have a leaner, healthier body if they just put their mind to it!”

As part of the Challenge, each participant will receive a free ReNew Life total-body cleanse of his or her choice, as well as select Fiber35 Diet and ReNew Life products throughout the Challenge. Bi-weekly measurements will be taken to track their progress, and a certified fitness coach will provide ongoing training and support. Prizes will be awarded for three specific categories: (1) percentage of body fat lost; (2) percentage of lean body mass (LBM) gained; and (3) total inches lost. The winner of each category will receive $500 cash, and smaller prizes and incentives will be awarded throughout the challenge.

Pam Carter, winner of the 2009 ReNew Life “Biggest Loser” Fiber35 Healthy Weight Loss Challenge, is one of several dozen employees that will be taking part in this year’s fitness challenge. Says Carter, “With the second contest, this is an awesome opportunity for me to reach my goal weight and build more muscle mass, which is something I wasn’t able to complete in just three months with the last challenge.” She adds that keeping a food journal, preparing meals and snacks beforehand, portion control and exercising daily were the keys to her success with the weight loss challenge.
