OREM, Utah–Xlear Inc. is donating more than 31,000 4-oz. tubes of Spry Cool Mint toothpaste to support the ongoing global humanitarian relief efforts in Haiti. The eight pallets of the toothpaste, with a retail value of more than $150,000, will ship from Miami to Haiti where World Vision, a Christian relief and development organization, will coordinate the distribution of the toothpaste as part of a complete hygiene kit.
“Our hearts go out to the people of Haiti during this time of rebirth and recovery,” said Blaine Yates, president and CEO of Xlear Inc. “As Haitians continue to rebuild their homes, businesses and country, maintaining their health will be critical, and we hope this small donation will help thousands of people maintain good oral health. We also appreciate the efforts of World Vision, which has staff on the ground providing relief in Haiti and will make sure our donation gets to the people who need it the most.”
Spry toothpaste is made with xylitol, a natural sweetener that has proven to help reduce the risk of tooth decay. Xylitol is found in many fruits and vegetables, as well as other organic sources, including corn cobs and birch trees. Xylitol has proven to have significant dental benefits, which have been confirmed in numerous international field studies.
