PORTLAND, Ore.—Brad Buchanan, director of research and development and manufacturing at Emerita, died on March 12 from a brain tumor; he was 41. Buchanan spent 14 years at Emerita and oversaw the production of more than 100 new products in the areas of feminine care, sexual health and skin care. He started with the company as a regulatory affairs manager, and held positions in the production, manufacturing, distribution, quality control (QC) and formulation areas.
