New Performance Announces Sponsorships

LOS ANGELES—New Performance Nutrition (NPN) released two athlete sponsorship agreements. First, the company will sponsor the Fly V Australia Pro Cycling Team, supplying the riders with a range of appropriate energy and endurance sports products and conducting tests to help craft and monitor the team’s daily needs. “Fly V Australia has put together a tremendous program with eyes on being the first Australian Pro Tour team,” said Marty Church, NPN’s director of sales and marketing. “We are thrilled to be partnering with this organization and support them and all their objectives.”

NPN also signed four professional triathletes to its sponsorship roster, and will also help create custom nutrition programs for each one as well as supplying appropriate sports nutrition products and supplements. The athletes include Joe Gambles, three-time 70.3 champion and member of Trek/K-Swiss Team; Chris Foster, current ITU Pan American Points Leader; Henry Hagenbuch, a former NCAA All-American and winner of Escape From Alcatraz; and Heather Jackson, a top 70.3 competitor and member of Trek/K-Swiss Team. Church commented, “The sport of triathlon is very important to us and we are extremely happy to be working with such a talented group of athletes.”

Matt Mahowald NPN’s founder, noted, “Every athlete is unique and has individual requirements that make them function at the highest level. For over 16 years I’ve been developing custom programs utilizing the latest technology for athletes in all sports to perform at their peak. We are very excited to bring our services to these talented professionals.”
