AMERICAN FORK, Utah—Twinlab Corp. signed a sponsorship agreement with Mike Morrison, a professional beach volleyball player who hopes to compete in the 2012 Olympics. As part of the sponsorship, Twinlab will supply Morrison with a range of sports nutrition dietary supplements, including Glutamine Fuel®, Joint Fuel®, Twinlab Glucosamine, Electrolyte Fuel® and Endurance Fuel®.

Morrison finished last season ranked as the number three blocker in the United States, and will compete internationally in 2010 in hopes of earning a spot on the 2012 U.S. Olympic men’s volleyball team. He only started playing volleyball during his senior year of college, and has excelled during his short tenure.

Marc Stover, director of marketing, Twinlab, commented, “As someone who didn’t play volleyball until his senior year of college, and within the span of seven years has become one of the top pro beach volleyball players in the country, Mike truly embodies the Twinlab vision that if you set a physical goal for yourself, work hard and get the right nutrition, you can make it happen.”

Morrison added, “Working out in the sand requires the use of many more muscles than if you were working out on a solid surface. So in a sport like volleyball, it’s important to get the right nutrients so you’re not wearing your body down. Twinlab is truly a quality health and supplement organization that I feel will be able to support me and help to get me where I want to go in the sport of volleyball.”
