Complete Nutrition has opened more than 30 retail locations in less than 18 months and has deals signed to double its footprint by the end of 2010, making the new player in the nutrition retail segment one to closely watch, according to FranchiseWorks.com. Based in Omaha, Neb., the Complete Nutrition franchise outlets focus on the weight loss and sports nutrition categories, using a concept launched in 2007.
“Our unprecedented growth during the worst economic period in recent memory is a testament to our proven business model and a line of products that allows us to tailor safe and effective programs for each customer,” Ryan Zink, president of Complete Nutrition, told FranchiseWorks.com. “In a short period of time, we have grown our franchise into one that is emulated throughout the industry.”
The company has a set store design and stores generally employ only certified personal trainers, former strength coaches and other experienced fitness professionals to assist customers in developing personalized nutrition programs. In addition, Complete Nutrition works with various health care providers to develop exclusive formulations for the chain; it released more than 200 different weight-loss and sports nutrition branded products in the last year alone. As FranchiseWorks.com reported, that strategy, augmented by a launch plan including aggressive local advertising, is paying off; Complete Nutrition even had two $1 million stores in its first year.
