Organique by Himalaya Earns Whole Foods Premium Body Care Certification

HOUSTON—Whole Foods Market awarded Organique by Himalaya® with its Premium Body Care Certification. Himalaya Herbal Healthcare president and CEO Nabeel Manal announced all 20 products in the line earned the certification.

“We’re delighted to earn Whole Foods Market Premium Body Care Certification,” said Manal. “This seal is an exceptional mark of quality for personal care. Our team is very proud that all 20 Organique by Himalaya products have earned this honor.”

Whole Foods’ criteria for the Permium Body Care Certification includes four general areas: results, source, environment and safety. Whole Foods requires manufacturers conform to a strict, specific list of acceptable ingredients. For the certification, products must be primarily nature-based and use botanically derived ingredients in effective quantities. No animal testing is allowed, and only natural fragrances may be used. In addition, performance and efficacy are high prioritites, and products must be made with ingredients that are necessary for the products to function well. Products must also be sourced and manufactured with respect for he environment and create minimal eco-impact after use.

“Premium Body Care is our top tier; our most exceptional personal care products,” said Whole Foods Market in company literature. “We carefully evaluate each and every product to ensure it meets those basic standards. If it doesn’t, you won’t find it on our shelvels.”

Organique by Himalaya products are manufactured using organically grown herbs and organic essential oils. They are free of parabens, sodium laurel sulfate, phthalates, petroleum and more than 200 synthetic ingredients. Individual batch testing is performed for gluten-free labeling.
