ATLANTA—Jan McBarron, M.D., N.D., the “Doctor” of Duke & The Doctor radio show, was selected as the 2010 Clinician of the Year by the Natural Products Association (NPA). To celebrate the honor, the radio duo will host two parties in Las Vegas during NPA’s annual trade show. The hosts will also do a live taping of their show in front of a live audience on June 10 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
For the first special event, 24 select winners of a recent radio show contest will join McBarron and her husband, Duke Liberatore—CEO of the seven-store Peachtree Natural Foods chain, at the live radio taping and a “Winners Reception” at the Tempo Lounge. “We wouldn’t be where we are today if it wasn’t for our listeners,” Liberatore said. “It’s for that reason we want to celebrate this honor with them and organized the contest as a ‘thank you’ to them.”
In addition to the Winners Reception, Duke and The Doctor will also host a VIP Party at Las Vegas Rocks Cafe on June 11. Special invitations and drink coupons will be distributed to industry friends and guests during the NPA trade show. The Las Vegas Rocks Café is owned by Vegas celebrity, Tony Sacca, a good friend of the radio hosts and himself the host of Entertainment Las Vegas Style.
