HAUPPAUGE, N.Y.—Futurebiotics successfully completed the organic certification and registration process and are now a certified organic dietary supplement manufacturer. Supplements labeled organic indicate the product is produced in accordance with the Organic Foods Production Act of 1990 and complies with the National Organic Standard’s requirements for organic farming, processing and handling.
Certified by NOFA-NY Certified Organic LLC, a USDA accredited certifying agent, Futurebiotics now produces dietary supplements that not only contain certified organic ingredients, but are also produced using certified processing and handling techniques. This certification allows Futurebiotics to include the NOFA logo on product packaging. In addition, Futurebiotics includes the USDA organic seal on the product packaging of all products that contain 95 percent or more organic ingredients.
According to Steve Welling, Futurebiotics chief operating officer: “We are thrilled to receive organic certification for processing and handling organic dietary supplements. The certification represents our company-wide effort and commitment to the industry, retailer and consumer, assuring everyone that we meet all the standards and requirements necessary to manufacture and provide truly certified organic dietary supplements.”
