AURORA, Ill.—Optimum Nutrition (ON) expanded its roster of sponsored athletes, signing Tyler Faoro, an AA Pro in the BMX series. Faoro has been competing in BMX races since he was 5 years old, and has twice won national championships, including taking the Florida BMX title in different classes a total of six times.
As he preps for the 2010 national championship this fall, he has picked up his training intensity and paying closer attention to nutrition. Faoro called his conditioning “ferocious," adding, “During my 16 years of competing, I’ve become very aware of the nutritional aspects of performance. The field is filled with very determined BMX competitors who all want to lead through the qualifying rounds, quarter finals and semi finals. The main event puts the focus on the podium."
Optimum Nutrition’s sponsorship means the company will not only supply Faoro with its premium line of protein, recovery and energy products, but it will also be on hand at major events to extend the brand to BMX fans looking to sample products and learn more about sports nutrition.
