OGDEN, Utah—Trace Minerals Research announced its ConcenTrace® Trace Mineral Drops and Utah Sea Minerals received Halal certification from the Islamic Food and Nutrition Council of America (IFANCA). Halal is the dietary standard of Muslims and the certification ensures products are fit for consumption by Muslims. The ConcenTrace and Utah Sea Minerals products have previously been certified Kosher by the Rabbinical Council of California and certified vegan by the American Vegetarian Association. Trace Minerals Research is also GMP (good manufacturing practice) certified by the Natural Products Association.
Ryan Fisher, general manager at Trace Minerals Research, said the new certification will help the company expand its global reach. “With our international presence continually expanding, we felt it was important to attain the Halal certification to enable us to offer these products to a much larger demographic,” he added. “We also feel like this certification will foster even more confidence in our products to our current and future customers because of the strict standards and qualifications required for Halal certification.”
Utah Sea Minerals is a naturally balanced salt seasoning and nutritional supplement from the Great Salt Lake and is approximately 11 times more concentrated than ocean water. ConcenTrace takes the Utah Sea Minerals product through a proprietary process to concentrate the water; it serves as the base of all products in Trace Mineral Research’s branded product line.
