RANCHO SANTA FE, Calif.–ResVez Inc. provided samples of the Resveratrol WineTime Bar at Sunday night's Emmy Awards. Host Jimmy Fallon and outstanding lead actress in a drama, Kyra Sedgwick, were among celebrities who received the chocolate nutrition bar. Other Emmy nominees and attendees who found a WineTime Bar in their rooms at the Montage Hotel included Jennifer Love Hewitt, Brenda Vaccaro, Cindy Margolis, Kevin Bacon, Kathy Lee Gifford, Steve Edwards, Rob Thomas, Lacey Chabert, Anna Paquin, Alexander Skarsgard, Nina Dobrev, Beau Bridges, Anne Heche, Ryan Kwanten, Todd Lowe, Natasha Alam and Joe Manganiello.
The WineTime Bar contains the anti-aging antioxidant resveratrol, which is found in the skin of red grapes. Resveratrol soared in popularity after positive coverage on major TV shows such as "60 Minutes," "Oprah," and a Barbara Walters special. The WineTime Bar, a dark chocolate and fruit bar is made with dates and almonds, and contains more resveratrol than 50 glasses of red wine.
High in fiber and low in calories, the bar includes seven extra superfruits—noni, pomegranate, goji, acai, Mangosteen and blueberry. It is gluten and dairy free and contains no trans fat, hydrogenated oils or high-fructose corn syrup; no artificial flavors, sweeteners, colors or preservatives; and no cholesterol.
Earlier this year the WineTime Bar was presented during Academy Award season to Oscar winners Sandra Bullock, Jeff Bridges and Mo'Nique among other big-name celebrities.
Malcolm Nicholl, president and CEO of ResVez Inc. the company that developed and markets the WineTme Bar, said "The WineTime Bar has star appeal, and we appreciated the opportunity to showcase its talents to the Hollywood elite. We have been getting rave reviews form celebrity chefs, wine critics, nutritionists, retailers and most important of all-repeat customers."
