REDMOND, Wash.—R-U-VED Inc. debuts CoCurQ, an Ayurvedic formulation designed to support a healthy inflammatory response. The powdered product combines curcumin, medium-chain triglycerides and coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) in a synergistic combination. Curcumin, the active compound found in the Indian botanical turmeric, was traditionally used in Ayurveda for its support of inflammatory health. CoQ10 is a key antioxidant that enhances energy production, while MCTs help enhance the bioavailability of the curcumin and CoQ10.

Virender Sodhi, Ayurvedic MD, naturopath and co-founder of the company, explained: “All three of these ingredients are powerful in and of themselves, but unfortunately aren’t easily absorbed by the body when taken individually. We’ve created a blend that greatly enhances each of its ingredients for a very powerful formula."

The powder-based formula also includes the well-known Ayurvedic herb trikatu (a mix of black pepper, long pepper and ginger), to help the body with nutrient assimilation. A 5-oz. jar retails for $44; consumers mix 1 teaspoon with water or juice daily.
