CHICO, Calif.–Santa Cruz Organic® launched a new line of certified organic fruit spreads available in four flavors: Strawberry, Apricot, Seedless Red Raspberry and Blackberry Pomegranate. The fruit spreads, which will hit retail shelves in September, are also OU kosher certified. The new spreads list organic fruit as the first ingredient on every jar, and they contain no high-fructose corn syrup, artificial ingredients or preservatives.
As with all Santa Cruz Organic products, the new fruit spreads are certified organic in accordance with the USDA’s National Organic Program, and bear the well-recognized USDA Organic seal. They are packaged in 9.5-ounce crock-style glass jars.
All Santa Cruz Organic products are manufactured entirely with renewable energy from a variety of sources, including on-site solar energy and renewable energy certificate purchases. Each of Santa Cruz Organic’s 80 products is Green-e certified by the Center for Resource Solutions. For 10 consecutive years, Santa Cruz Organic has received the WRAP (Waste Reduction Awards Program) Award by the state of California for recycling more than 95 percent of its manufacturing waste.
