Vibranz Kombucha Returns to Stores

HEALDSBURG, Calif.—Vibranz brand kombucha probiotic teas have returned to sretail shelves following a reformulation to adhere to FDA’s alcohol content guidelines. According to the manufacturer, Vibranz Beverages©, it is the first kombucha brand to meet the agency’s recommended alcohol content level of 0.5 percent and return to stores following a voluntary industry recall of all kombucha tea products by top suppliers in June. Vibranz further claimed to be the first to win approval from Whole Foods Markets to resume sales at a selection of the company’s grocery chain locations across the United States, after Whole Foods’ removal of all kombucha products in reaction to the FDA-related recalls.

“Our expert team succeeded in using their prior knowledge of winemaking to achieve a very low alcohol content while maintaining our position as a great-tasting, unpasteurized probiotic beverage,” said Kathy Taylor.  president and co-founder of Vibranz, which touts the tea’s benefits to digestion and microflora balance, as well as to energy levels, immunity and liver function.
