SAN FRANCISCO—Attune foods introduced three new flavors of its Uncle Sam Cereal—Honey Almond, Great Multi-Grains and Wild Strawberry. Most Americans only eat a small fraction of the recommended daily intake of fiber. Not all fiber is created equally and naturally occurring fiber is best found in whole-grains, fruits and vegetables. Uncle Sam Original cereal features fiber-rich red hard winter wheat berries that are baked, toasted and flattened into flakes, combining them with heart-healthy flaxseed. With a surge of Americans looking to add more fiber into their daily diet, this is a perfect time to launch their new cereals.

“We took Uncle Sam Original’s simple ingredients and nutritional fortitude to make these new cereals, offering something for everyone in the morning," said Rob Hurlbut, co-founder and CEO of attune foods. “My kids love the Wild Strawberry flavor and I love that it’s low in sugar but full of fiber that’s good for them."

Using the same recipe developed in 1908, attune foods adds all-natural ingredients to create their three new cereals launching this month. Uncle Sam Honey Almond blends toasted whole-wheat berry flakes with whole flaxseeds and crispy almond slices sweetened with a touch of clover honey. Uncle Sam Great Multi-Grains brings together toasted whole-wheat berry flakes and rolled oat flakes with whole flaxseeds. Uncle Sam Wild Strawberry combines toasted whole-wheat berry flakes with whole flaxseeds and the sweet pleasure of wild strawberries, freeze-dried to preserve freshness.

Each of these three Uncle Sam cereals delivers an excellent source of fiber per serving, as well as at least 6g of protein and omega-3 fatty acids from whole flaxseed. Uncle Sam cereal is always made from nothing but 100 percent Whole Grains, and is always all-natural.
