Speaker:
 Jørn Dyerberg, M.D., the father of omega-3s, is a pioneer in
the discovery of omega-3 fatty acids in food and their considerable health
benefits. With his landmark research study, “Plasma Lipid and Lipoprotein
pattern in Greenlandic West Coast Eskimos,” published in The Lancet in 1971, he
was instrumental in shaping the history of omega-3s. Dr. Dyerberg is one of the
world's leading authorities on the health benefits of omega-3 fish oils and is
recognized internationally for his expertise in research on this topic. He has
served as chief physician and head of the Aalborg hospital, and has been a
professor in Copenhagen since 2001.
